I have my good days and bad days at the firm. Opted to not take the VSP and I'm torn.
My mental health is important to me and so is providing food on the table and paying my bills; like everyone else.
Won't let me guard down, but I'm certainly not sure on my future with the firm.

Never fret - you might be able to get hired at fast food or retail. Then again, last time I went to fast food, none of them spoke English, so you are probably out of luck there, too.
Look on the bright side - at least it won’t be the first time you will have been replaced by non-English speakers. Definitely won’t be the last, either.

I took the VSP and my last day is about a month away. I also have good days and bad days. Someone suggested I am going through the stages of grief and it resonated with me. Even if you didn’t accept the VSP, you still may be going through grief. If you’ve worked here 15-20+ years you are experiencing the loss of a perceived culture and job safety. Be kind to yourself and try to get excited about the future while mourning and being thankful for the past. Easier said than done - I know. Doors close for a reason, you just have to trust you are worth what’s on the other side. Good luck!
