The real fun part about this is the consulting company, Boston Consulting, they hired to do the layoff was not given any data to determine who to lay off. They were given name, gender, age, ethnicity, and any registered disabilities. They didnt even speak to department VPs to find out who was necessary. I found this out through some back channels with HR.

I had the highest yearly raring of any of my peers for 3 years in a row, and did work that not a single one of my peers could even hope to understand much less do. I did work several pay grades above my title because no one else knew or had the initiative to handle those projects, especially with the company cutting dev resources. And yet I was laid off while people who don't even know how to open a spreadsheet were retained.

It's all a mess here. It will be over soon for this company.

Are there any sites left? Is this company almost done?

This company is toast. Stock price went from $70 down to $17 in like 5 years and continues down.

No amount of feel good pi-y dust can make up for poor performance. Another lesson that only performance matters when you are a public company that is owned by shareholders who deserve a return or the company fails.

Who writes checks anymore? Surprised this company is still around and barely hanging on.

I'd actually order more from Deluxe if they'd take credit cards, instead of insisting on ACH debit (I have an ACH debit block on my account as a fraud protection measure).

Once the current checks run out, I have no choice but to use another vendor.

Deluxe has been failing steadily for the past ten years. Closing plants and layoffs on a regular basis. Personal checks are dead. Unfortunately the tunnel visioned, corn pone leadership hacks in corporate headquarters ruined every new acquisition and new product launch with their lack of understanding of anything that wasn't related to outdated printing of personal checks and trying to apply the same dinosaur manufacturing model to everything new.
