Has anyone applied internally, was hired, then you were able to negotiate pay? I’m hearing there is a max of 8-10% from your current pay you can be increased. Is this true? I am going to apply for a position and have a great shot at it but need to be able to negotiate pay for this role.

Lateral moves do not allow changes in pay
@af Yes bumping grade levels.
More than 7% needs T2+ GP approval.
It depends on a lot of things. Division, who the director is, who the dept leader is, what grade you are now, what grade you are going to, what midpoint are you going to be at, who the TL is, what your last few reviews look like, etc. Assume EDJ will give you the lowest amount possible they can and get away with it. So be ready to come to the table with plenty of leverage or at least be able to make a case for higher pay without shooting yourself in the foot. Honestly, a 10% bump is probably on the higher end with how this place is of late.
Probably depends if you are also bumping grade level.
