Thread regarding TransUnion layoffs

The not knowing what's happening is the worst

I wish there was more transparency around layoffs and everything else. Having to scour the internet to find out what's happening at TransUnion is less than ideal. I think this is a huge mistake our leadership is making and it's going to cost us in the long run. It's ki-ling morale, and we know that's not good for productivity.

Even if I survive the layoff, I plan on leaving after any bonus is announced. In the meantime, I’ll be taking a LOT of training to make myself more marketable. Not my first rodeo so I plan to use TU for all I can

We are also a one income family. One of my kids has special needs so my wife stays home as a result. Stressful times for sure. I've been looking for a new job as a result. Hopefully that happens before the cuts are announced.

As a wife of someone who is employed at TU I have been religiously watching these discussions on this board every day since the announcement was made. We are a single income household so it feels as if our entire lives are on pause until the hammer drops and we know if my husband is one of the ones being axed or not. To make such a huge announcement so vaguely was cruel. Especially this time of year. Please everyone keep posting what you know, hear, are feeling etc… it’s nice to know we aren’t alone.

Everyone should be updating their resumes and trying to get interviews. The job market is really tough right now with so many other people who have been laid off trying to find new jobs as well. Don't wait until the hammer falls before you start looking.

I am actively looking and interviewing. If TU doesn't let me know anything at all about then when and how, I cannot sit around and just hope for the best. It's their loss, TBH.

Yeah, I'm not exactly going the extra mile right now for a company that has inflicted so much anxiety to is employees.
