I'm sorry if this is considered common knowledge but I've been here for a little over a year and I don't know an answer to it. I'd just like to know if I am affected in one of the future rounds if I'd get any severance. Or please point me to where I can find this info.

By FEDERAL law, you will be entitled to at least 60-days pay, if there is no notice. OR, they have to give you 60-days notice. It's called the WARN act.
You do not really 'qualify' for severance. It is completely up to the company whether or not they offer severance and how much. Most likely, you would be offered a few weeks pay with 1 year of service, but who knows what they may decide to do in the future. It is always important to keep a healthy savings for emergencies, including job loss.
I'm asking for the US.
