Thread regarding Cargill layoffs

"Role Committment Meeting"

I got a meeting invite for thursday called "Role Committment Meeting"

And it said in the email it was to discuss my future role with cargill....
Chat am I cooked or is this a "here's a new role take it or GTFO" situation?

You are probably safe—until next quarter when this happens again. Start looking for a more stable spot now while you have some financial cushion and the market isn’t extra-super flooded by ex-Cargill.

You are very likely safe. Managers and HR had a template they had to use for communication. Remember, most managers were also not involved in the process and want to make sure you know you have a role. Communication is happening as quickly as it can. Hang in there.

I think you are 95% safe... however how awful of HR to mess with people like this, they should know people will hang on/overanalyze every word when wondering about their future. I know others got messages in meetings that said right in it that you will be retained, so its inconsistent. This really continues to not be handled well.
