Thread regarding Cargill layoffs

Everyone should go on strike

This is not how you treat people and everyone should know.

Go on strike, in the headoffices, in the plants. Who says next year they won’t do this to you who can stay today? Or in 2 months to the person who is not located in the ‘first round’ countries.

Do not accept this BS from corporate, put down your work, revamp your resume and send it out into the world.

Protect yourself!

Bigger picture, every corporation can do this in the US. We need better employment rights like Europe does. If you’re in Europe, you have a lot more rights and power in situations like this. My cousin in the Netherlands worked for Medtronic, and flew to Minneapolis every other month. They tried to lay her off/fire her and she got a lawyer. She got about 2 years worth of salary lump sum and she got another job in a short while at Boston Sci. Her coworkers in the US got the 2 weeks per year and GTFO.
