Thread regarding Cargill layoffs

Here is the inside story to 2.5b cost reduction!

This thing has been part of broader plan since early this year. As last fiscal year ended every one on ET panicked and brought in the consultants. Started with freezing hiring, clamp down T&E… the usual CYA moves.

That was not enough…. Pushed leadership teams for an additional 15% reduction…. That was not enough.

Reduction through attrition all along while all the work remained unchanged.

Layoff was to happen in September….. consultant ppt too optimistic and Cargill HR has the speed of a sloth.

Merry Christmas everyone- you have been laid off !

Next year cost down 2.5B

If people are laid off but internal processes don’t change Cargill remming slow in decisions. Take an example of the PDP2.0 process, the amount of documents and alignment meetings to move forward is ridicilous.
With the integration of CSST, EOS and CCC in CFB all processes from the larger CSST to be followed, but they have large plants with large teams where the Other 2 were more lean in the organisation. This should be changed back to the situation we had 2 years ago as Some of the teams aren’t able to follow the CSST structure. Too many documents, too long decision making, to slow in relation to the competition.
