Here we are couple of years later. And the two guys (MosheG & KrishnaR) who pulled off this robbery of both their own employees as well as the unknowing investing public (by artificially improving operating margins QoQ and telling the financial world it was company new product adoptions) are GONE! They tried so hard to manipulate figures, even once bundling OLD mature Spartan6 product sales into their new -7 series product performance category on revenue one quarter - and nobody caught this dishonesty. They lasted only 8-9 quarters and are now run outta the firm. XLNX did this without even having a SVP Sales in place of the resulting vacancy! That's just how bad it was. Other key execs (aligned with these two) also saw the writing on the wall and smartly vacated quickly, as they knew it was over once the two thieves were in hot water with XLNX BOD. It's a complete travesty. The BOD must have supported these guys crimes as well. These guys stole RSUs from hard working dedicated employees who were worked to the bone for years (glassdoor reported Xilinx as top-10 in employee dissatisfaction in 2013). They handed out really lousy exit checks, did not offer any voluntary retirement program prior to cutting people, and gave just few weeks of insurance coverage. They assured people they were safe and then sat them down in a room with HR to surprise them with layoff papers. They fired their contracted sales reps (who had been dedicated partners for well over 25 years) and then hired those then bankrupt sales reps own outside sales people back as direct (with far reduced pay & incentive) into those same vacated jobs from their April 2015 layoffs. It is amazing that there was no oversight, not any class action, no state gov't investigation for WARN violations. As Altera execs say, "Xilinx is famous for screwing over their very best people at the expense of a couple of top level management politics." (referring to both XLNX's 2008 and 2015 debaucles). Great technology run buy greedy figure heads. At least it seems the right guy got the CEO job, which was the guy everyone though should have been SVP before KrishnaR was put in place to screw it all up. How could Moshe put a guy in charge of divisions he has ZERO years experience managing, Sales, BizOpps, Marcom. Never was even a manger or director in such departments. KR was a product planner at Altera and then went up the product marketing ranks in comms division...but had no experience in any of the divisions he was granted leadership of...wtf
