Thread regarding GE Capital layoffs

Spinoff Related Layoffs

Do you think we'll have massive layoffs after we leave GE proper? I have experience with Private Equity management and I can tell you that Investment Bankers and Private Equity cares just about money and they tend to destroy jobs and milk cash flows until they dry up (they usually resell you after 3 to 4 years)

I hear that the management is drawing up a list of employees to be laid off in July , by which time they will know the direction in which the the sale process is going. In case of portfolio sales most employees will be laid off. Synchrony folks were the lucky ones.

theyll tell you your all keeping your jobs just so everyone dosent jump ship and screw up their bottom line before the buyout. once they get closer to the take over date youll see them letting people go. If your lucky to survive the take over, and make too much money, theyll make you quit by increasing your workload until you cant take it anymore. Then theyll get some inexperienced moron that will do your job for 1/2 what they were paying you. Seen it many times. Not many companies care about their employees anymore, just the all mighty dollar.
