KBR laid off several hundred people in Raleigh, Wilmington, Birmingham and Houston over the period from Dec 2014 through date. They exited power, mining and minerals and real estate industries.

I got RIF'd in Aug. 2015.
The slowdown was quickening so they were bringing people back from overseas.
What really p$$$d me off was having to train the guy replacing me - he'd been with KBR longer but had really basic computer skills. So, I was training him how to use excel and word, in addition to trying to get him up to speed on the job.
Just more of the "last in, 1st out" syndrome.
