Thread regarding NRG Energy Inc. layoffs

NRG Energy Houston, TX. RELIANT ENERGY/GREEN MOUNTAIN ENERGY.

Having worked as a Customer Service employee for over 7 years, I was laid off on October, 22, 2015. There is nothing in the severance package to indicate having been "fired for cause". But when I apply for unemployment, that will be the point where the truth will come out. There is NO reason whatsoever for me to have been fired for cause.

It is my understanding that NRG is taking a different direction with spinning off the renewable energy portion of the company into a separate entity.

I wish all at my former employer, NRG well in their future pursuits.

Well you know with any big acquisition people lose their jobs. So when they acquired Cirros book of business they had to restructure. Eliminate positions. Trim the fat as the executives would have it.

Executives making heads roll. They should have restructured and moved out the terrible middle management.
