Folder Express (16616 I St) closed its doors in Omaha for good on Dec 27th. Ninety Omaha employees lost their jobs as Ennis moved the company to Columbus, Kansas. Reasons given by Ennis for the closing included: lease on Omaha facility was ending in Dec. 2015 and a suitable new building could not be found in Omaha; cost of living is lower in Columbus so replacement workers could be hired there for a lower wage; Ennis already owned a suitable facility in Columbus where it could relocate Folder Express, which Ennis acquired approx 2 years ago.
