Thread regarding Royal Bank of Canada layoffs

With current management, expect more layoffs

Not surprised that RBC is letting go of more workers rather than fixing its management issues.

Management at the bank never really cared about having their workers better themselves professionally, or heavens forbid think for themselves. At least it was like this while I worked there, I doubt it has changed. There were more Bigfoot sightings than career advancement opportunities, especially at middle management level. Not to mention that the main reason business is failing is the fact that senior management lacks both leadership skills and appropriate know-how to run a bank.

I hope things turn around soon for the employees' sake, but I doubt it, and I would not be surprised at more layoffs down the road.

Leadership in upper level is surely an issue along with big difference in management colour and front line workers colour....though in words diversity is encouraged but at higher level it is not proportional.

Some high school pass but white colour are managers not leaders ,hope banking changes so much they are shown the door too.

I doubt it too - it's all about profits now and if they can extract more profits, that'll happen. Capitalism 101 - and there is nothing more to it.
