With more than 20,000 MW installed and 22,000 wind jobs, Texas leads the nation in wind energy deployment and employment.

I’m sorry, but - Change is coming whether YOU like it or not ! Don’t think like a coal miner or an oil field hand.

Vestas receives order for 200 MW project in the U.S.

The firm and unconditional order comes from Flat Top Wind I, LLC, an indirect subsidiary of Alterra Power Corp. It is their first order with Vestas in the U.S. It includes supply and commissioning of 100 V110-2.0 MW turbines for the 200 MW Flat Top wind project located in central Texas, and a 10-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM5000) service agreement.

Delivery is expected to begin in Q4 2017, with commissioning planned for Q1 2018. Turbine components will be manufactured at Vestas’ Colorado factories.

“Within 5 to 10 years, there will be regions and areas in this country [Australia] which will have 100 per cent renewable energy” - Chairman & CEO of GE Renewable Energy.

poy! get the f---- out of houston! so many cutbacks lately. i know many from the energy sector are still unemployed from 2015 and 2016. Medical Health care has cut back and now this ! Some out of oil and gas have actually gone other places Atlanta, Austin and Calif to name a few. Hot spots we've heard about are Maine and CA. But hey! government was bragging about adding 200k plus (restaurant and entertainment?) jobs ? W!T!F! Well, as long as the shareholders are happy, hmmm?
