Layoffs at the plant support office and I understand that they are looking closely at the Illinois plants and expect to close most of them due to unfavorable economic conditions.

All of the coal plants are going to be closed and all regional support people for the plants will be laid off.
Ya everyone is gone
Of course they are. Vistra has to pay for the acquisition somehow and they will do so by eliminating redundant departments. Expect IT, and all support jobs in Dynegy to be on the block and a huge reduction in the number of coal plants that are not making money. As the acquired company, Dynegy will get the majority of the cuts and not the Vistra employees. That is the way these thing work. Dynegy employees will always be the unwanted step children.
Expect 90% cuts in support departments and 25 to 30% cuts in field operations.
