Thread regarding Fannie Mae layoffs

Politically motivated

Fannie Mae is a heavily political company, no different than any other in terms of promotions and growth. You may have a great track record of completing projects in a timely manner but unless you are part of the crowd or a “yes” man don’t expect to move forward in your career here.

If you’re lucky you may see some employee growth - IF you’re lucky. I know fellow employees who want to move departments just to expand their knowledge of the company and they’re STILL waiting.

We are seeing more people leave, good people, and apparently those at the top can’t put 2 and 2 together and see what’s driving them away.

Right on Anonymous. Upper management plays favorites not listed in yearly performance. It is not performance, now they prefer only young to promote. You can see the folks on the internal website and figure out. Duh!
