Thread regarding APTIM layoffs

Is this company hiring?

Just moved to BR. Is this company hiring any positions at all? I’ve looked online. Went in person. I never see a list of positions anywhere. The ones I do see are all filled previously.

CB&I E&I now APTIM is such a complete joke. I just love watching this thing completely implode and can't believe the mo--ns at Veritas Capital actually paid $700M for this pile of cow dung. The people in this company are totally incompetent, and it is even more hilarious that they have an accountant trying to run this thing. So funny. I predicted the total collapse of CB&I and went short that stock. Now I predict the total and complete loss of Veritas Capital's $700M investment in this pile of cow dung. I don't have an MBA from Harvard, but it doesn't take much to realize APTIM is a complete and utter joke.

You confirmed everything that was told to me about these layoffs. Directors and below had no say in these layoffs. Mr. Beancounter looked at the numbers and handed over the paperwork to the CEO and said, "this is what you need to do in order to turn the investors frown upside down". - I think it was between 250 to 300 people let go nationwide.

Yes layoffs on 2/23/18 throughout the company - nationwide. I was caught in the purge - an R&D / Analytical lab in New Jersey. 5 out of group of 18 scientist were let go. This was done indiscriminately with no regards to skill set or role in operations. With no training to fill the gap projects will be compromised as contract obligations will not be met.

Feb 23, 2018 I just heard there were layoffs at Aptim’s Baton Rouge corporate office. Police and other officers escorting people out of the building, and making them sign papers saying they would not sue the company. This is one reason I hate PE firms taking over businesses; they can do whatever they want and claim it’s in the best interest of investors, and most often comes at the expense (and jobs) of the employees
