St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center on Wednesday afternoon declined to immediately comment on employee reports that the hospital plans a major downsizing that will result in the layoffs of several hundred workers and a reduction in services.
A number of hospital employees said Wednesday they were called into meetings at which hospital executives told them of a major restructuring that will result in fewer services and the possible layoffs of 300 workers or more.
