From my perspective, LinkedIn was a great platform but as one would expect, it started to become useless when Microsoft acquired the company in 2016 and immediately went to "monetize everything"..

Got to agree with you. I have found people listing a small company that I use to work for in their resume'. The problem is that they never worked there. One guy even claimed to be the Quality Director. Got news for that guy.........I was the Quality Director and never heard of the joker.

A former employee claimed to have gotten that company its ISO certification. Problem with that claim is that the company became ISO certified 5 years after he left the company. He never had a hand in the ISO certification.

Linkedin does not check any resume facts or filter recruiters. I don't know why companies even bother with looking at it.
