As of 6/13/19, my p/t position as a secretary/time editor was eliminated. Afterwards, I heard there were a total of 25 layoffs at Beaumont-Farmington Hills. Have also heard that that location is not getting the client/patients that they thought they would with all the "additions" that were done.
Sad situation.
I was laid off at the Beaumont Service Center. I was told that they did not have another job for me. When one door closes another one will open.
So sorry about your layoff. I heard that 18 department secretaries' jobs were just eliminated at Royal Oak Beaumont. They were all told that they could apply for 12 available similar positions, leaving 6 without a job. A cruel game of musical chairs. This is after being told earlier in the year that there would not be layoffs and that those rumors should be put to rest. Makes it very difficult to have any peace of mind.
