Thread regarding Centra Health layoffs

Cerner is a huge reason for all the layoffs! This is a horrible system and has cost Centra so much financially. If they had done enough research, they would have chosen another EMR. Cerner has a lot of problems that they themselves cannot figure out to fix! Centra should have contacted other facilities that HAD Cerner and they would have been told how horrible the system was. Now it’s everywhere online about hospitals regretting their decision to use Cerner, doctors walking out because the system results in providers having to ‘guess’ about medications, etc., because Cerner is so difficult to use, and often does not work as Cerner said it would.
