@OP This can't be sustained. Federal funding is going down and the university will have to cut at some point, like other universities are doing. There is a lot of 'bloat" at the university. It has 8,189 faculty and lecturers and 32,356 staff, a 1:4 ratio (obp.umich.edu/wp-content/uploads/pubdata/factsfigures/facstaffsumm_umaa.pdf). If this keeps being put off, the dam will eventually burst. Just wonder how much of this is being done quietly.
Build an educated American work force and send the bill to Mexico.
Better to raise tuition than to lay us off lol...
or when it happens it's a "reduction in force" or reorganization and noone hears about it...
