The latest round of job losses at Harris CapRock this year, has revealed a culture of price gouging and profiteering from some of their top clients, where they are charged 2, 3 or even up to 10 times more than new customers with smaller budgets, which are then generally celebrated by Yagnesh Rajendran (known as the 'cowboy' of the Sales Department) taking the whole CapRock team out for a evening of drinks. Harris Caprock is essentially a reseller of satellite bandwith and services, which in the case of their loyal customers such as Chevron, Exxon, BHP and ConocoPhillips handled by Yagnesh, are marked up by as much as 10 times or more, allowing Harris CapRock to offer much lower pricing for the same services to companies with smaller budgets, or where there is a lot of competition for the particular project.
