I work with John and he said he was posting up the bad news to forewarn others. I wanted to add to his post. Epiq has some very big projects that they have gotten in. This is great - the problem is they are laying many many people off that aren't related to the projects and they are hiring new people to essentially "use" until the projects are complete. The positions Epiq has open would be excellent for those who want contract work. I would highly recommend that anyone looking for permanent work stay away from these positions. The projects will run about 7 months and then you will be out of work. I would not typically talk bad about my employer, it is just completely disorganized here and there are many rifts. There are some good people working here, but it is not worth ruining your career. Stay away from the big vendors. A lot of the smaller vendors are prospering. The big vendors just treat people like they are paper cups. You use them once and throw them away. As John said "you have been warned. Please just think twice about it.
