I wouldn't say the company is going down the tubes as much as it's just simply changing with the times. If you're not changing, you're dying. It sounds like the new technology, I think they call it "echo", will give Strategic a nice leg up on their competition. While I hate to see folks laid off, it sounds like Strategic just got caught in a tough spot in the year where they were slim on work and nothing more. That kind of thing happens to a lot of companies out there and as far as I know, it's never happened at Strategic (at least to this degree). Based on all the new stuff they're installing in the building, and the fact that new clients like St. Jude have just recently signed contracts, I'd say they're not going anywhere for a long time. That just wouldn't make sense. They have a great reputation as far as call centers go, so I have faith they'll bounce back quickly and this will all just be a small bump in the road. It just sucks that bump in the road cost some folks their jobs.
