Even in a banner year at JEFF, discussions regarding head count reduction have started. The intended target date for headcount reduction in tech is prior to Thanksgiving ending by the second week of December. Happy holidays to those folks. These roles will ultimately be replaced by outsourcing specific projects so look over your shoulder for an Indian tech firm.

This is historically what Jefferies does. Hires Indian outsourcing firm when projects near completion for the " lights on" phase. Work hard and get booted. I saw people let go in 2011 the week of Thanksgiving and then again on December 12. The place has no soul or moral conscience. They are looking for the cheapest labor which includes outsourcing to Viet Nam via firms like Harvey Nash. The management has no creative solutions to their issues aside from headcount reduction. Blood s---ers.
That's how it is usually done at Jefferies but I have not heard of any thus far in 2014. However, Jefferies usually cuts heads during poilitical unrest as well as bad years. It is a terrible time to lay people off but these low lifes do it regardless. Pure scum praying at the alter of the almighty dollar. I do hope people keep their jobs this year.
