Word on the street is about 1400-1500 contractors gone in the last few weeks. Don't come to work on Monday, call on a Saturday. Salaried are standing on edge, tired of the BS.
So 1400 + 2400 buyouts = 3800. They want 8000? Are they nuts? Who are they going to have left to do the work? I see they're making some kind of concessions for factory workers. Only the factory workers.
Mary is looking a little old and tired with all this publicity. Many customers and qualified employees lost, pulling a John Galt. Advocates against the company for life. EVs and AVs that no one wants. Significant other told me the other day, well, I guess we start buying NON big 3. We'll find out if it was worth it. Not a single extended family member would ever by GM, and we're all car people.
I guess George Carlin said it best:
“When you're born into this world, you're given a ticket to the freak show. If you're born in America you get a front row seat.”
