Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

VOE survey is a complete waste of time

Anyone feel the same way? I've always dumped the scores on the VOE survey and I don't think I am the only one who feels this way. Each year we participate in these d-mb surveys designed to give us a false sense of inclusion when in reality, the ALT couldn't care less what we think. In fact, I think they use the feedback to see what we complain about the most and they purposely keep doing those things.

We ran out of materials once because Honeywell had not paid the suppliers for 12 months. That set us back a month and of course we got b1tched at for then being behind schedule. You could not make it up.

I didn’t fill mine out this year. They don’t listen anyway.

Don’t quote me on this. The memo we got. If you get 72% participation, you get cookies. If you get 92% you get ice cream. I didn’t see your cookies and ice cream expiration date would be expired.

This is no joke. They were going to shut off the power at Minneapolis, Minnesota. Because our leaders thought they could pay the utility companies every six months, instead of monthly. I guess I didn’t fly with the utility companies.

They shut off our water in the past. One day we didn’t have heat. Because they didn’t pay their monthly bill. So I can see how we can buy this stock back, they don’t even pay their employees on time. They claim they make mistakes. Mistakes my a-s there.

I didn’t care I completed the survey honestly and didn’t hold back. I have had enough. They can do with it what they want.

yep it's a screening tool to find out those who are daft enough to fill it in honestly -
blimey if you can't work out it's a waste of time and not anonymous then perhaps you're not the sharpest

everything is great, boxes ticked
all done in no time at all
no follow up waste of time

It's not anonymous and it will be held against you. Trust me when I tell you, this is more about weeding out unhappy and dissenting serfs than it is about bringing about real change. Besides, why would the ALT care what the chattel thinks anyway? If you think they do, you are kidding yourself.

Do not do it!
If enough people refuse to do it, VOE would appear to all as what it is - a complete sham! Haven't done it for the last few. Ignoring them is the best form of dissent.

I think as long as you're professional and constructive in your critique, it won't be held against you. But definitely don't rely on it being anonymous.

On the VOE, I'm going to be honest as always. If I get moved in to the lower L, so be it. In fact I'd welcome it. Honeywell has been a disaster since for Intelligrated since they bought us. What does Honeywell think we are? A bunch of country bumpkins that don't know squat because we are in the center of the USA and not from the coasts? Honeywell is on a path to destroy as much of the USA that they can by acquiring valuable small companies and then ripping them apart in the name of profits. Part of the Great Reset?

Ya, zero anonymity. I said something about people being promoted based on gender and discriminating against the white male… promoted for external characteristics and not qualifications. “She” made sure I went from upper elbow to PIP the next year. True or not, don’t comment.

@tmb+1meGWpVH Tough to prove but I guarantee it has put people on RIF lists before.
I first discovered it when my director made a slip up saying he liked one of my suggestions. I had never mentioned the idea to anyone, it was an off the cuff comment on the survey which i had forgotten about. He knew he fecked up. We were a small team.

Retired now, and can't believe they still think employees are buying into this. I mentioned in one that my boss needed to clean up his temper issues. That blew up in my face....fast.

You can bet Honeywell would have a lawsuit on their hands if they fired someone due to comments they made on an "anonymous" survey.

Question 23: “Will you be employed with Honeywell 2 years from now?” Ummmm no

It is traceable with comments which I knew. A couple of years ago I put some in knowing the manager would know they came from me. Didn't care. Any changes. Nope, same issues still hurting that team. I didn't get any pushback probably because ever word/issue was accurate and verifiable.

Now, it is not worth my time to try to give improvement ideas.

Rate everything a "5" (highest score) and leave glowing comments about how well-managed HON is and how proud you are to work for them. Let them think this is how you truly feel. You'll never get marked for a RIF based on such responses.

Agree. Do not comment. Even if you mean well and are offering something constructive. Keep it to yourself.

Agree, be very careful with the VOE. The best advice I have heard is to mark every answer neutral and DO NOT comment, it is traceable.
By marking every answer neutral you can speed through the survey, it gives them nothing and stops you being 'quiet' flagged for not filling it in. This is the best approach.

We went down the rabbit hole of anonymity and discovered it is indeed not that anonymous. In the small print they can cluster groups to size so it is easy to work out from say 5 people whos said which comments, gave which scores etc and your director can see those comments. It is sketchy as F.

Yep Feel the same way and trust me they they are not anonymous - I know that because I got called out for a negative response I gave two years ago. Will never do one again!
