Nice advice when dealing with bullying

Unfortunately the extreme pressuring / bullying / inappropriate behavior in its various flavors is pervasive throughout the org. Maybe you can make friends with another team and transfer over to another area that might be better. While I see it a lot, it's not everywhere. I've had to jump to another team pretty often to get away from awful managers. If you do good work, others will recognize that (they do not see your review)

OP @1jlo+1jLhPMja Currently I'm trying to transfer over to another area. If I don't manage to do so, I've decided to look for a healthier workplace somewhere else. I am completely disappointed in HR.

People who go to HR are put on the list to be laid off or setup to be fired.

@1tdh+1jWHw2cV - and they will settle (although not very quickly), rather than face bad publicity. That said, despite the cr---y treatment, unforgiveable hours pushing me to exhaustion and near break down, I've never had a "legitimate" basis for an EEOC complaint or discrimination claim.

HR is worthless here at BOA. If you ever get any employment discrimination issues you must notify HR first and let them know you will file a complaint WITH EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission). When you do this they will leave you alone and address your case appropriately. This bank has a bad history of racial and age discrimination law suits. They are known to discriminate against minorities and females.

oh wow - I wrote that paragraph! Totally agree HR is not your friend at BofA. (they only care about the leaders/top execs, and do not challenge them on their stupid decisions/policies) There is no leadership development or proper training for middle managers, which is why they s*k.) Good luck in your effort to transfer. If that does not come through, then you are smart to look elsewhere.
