Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Stop Complaining

Please stop complaining about your job. If you don't enjoy the stress of waiting to get fired or laid off, start looking for a new job. We all know how this ends. It took me well over a year to find a better position with a better salary. Put your big boy pants on and leave. Don't hold out for a severance pay that comes out of the blue, forcing you to take the first job that comes your way. Do what is best for you and your family.

Sounds like you’re a good us company simp. Keep corporate buck dancing and being a good slave for your owners. Why do they have all power? And the employees have none? Corporate apologist and suffer from Stockholm syndrome

I am going to take your stupidity as a compliment. Maybe the fact that I can construct sentences is the reason I found another job with better pay, better time off and real health insurance. It's true, the grass is not always greener on the other side, it took me over a year to find my current position. I did it and so can everyone else instead of just complaining and waiting to be laid off. Do you know for a fact you will receive a severance package? Will you qualify for unemployment after the company lawyers look at their facts. This company is known for doing their best not to pay unemployment. How are your numbers? Have you ever been through an unemployment dispute? I have and it's not something you ever want to do. Unemployment is completely on the company side. They do not want to pay you. I wish you luck in the future.

How do they sound like they are from HR?
If they want you gone then they will. You are making yourself sound stupid.

It was a toxic American company. Bad to the bone. Leave if you can. Stay and do the minimum until you can be gonzo

Optum managers don't care about anyone but themselves . The love the bullies and encourage them to make as many people miserable as possible so we will quit. This is such a toxic company and it gets worse everyday . I am sorry that I decided to work at Optum.

Wages are pretty much stagnating for grunts like us meawhile the C-suites and upper execs are enjoying salaries like never before ...btw, your kids should not be your retirement plan. You brought them into this horrid world, it was not their choice.

They never abt you . ever. they only care about profit and expansion. They do not care abt you. the minute they can replace you or terminate you to get more money, they;ll do it. ONLY look out for you.

I am up in age and I just did it. Do you think it is easy to get a job after being laid off. Do what is best for you.

"Stop complaining about your job" Do you really think it's that easy to just quit your job? What if you've been with the company for years and you're up there in age? Di you really think the grass is greener with another corporation? They're are all the same. Profit over people. They could care less about anything except when it comes to the market and their investors. That being said, Healthcare shouldn't be an investment and it's a damn shame!

I am not HR. I just believe everyone should do what is best for them and stop complaining. If you don't like what your future looks like, make a change. You have the power of your own destiny. You can stay miserable where you are, or take a chance at something better. It worked for me. I am looking forward to work tomorrow, are you?

I am not from HR. I am someone that was unhappy with the outlook of my future. I looked for a new job for a long time. When I found the right fit for me, I resigned. I am making more money and much happier. I am no longer waiting for an email invite to a layoff meeting. Due to Covid, there are very little opportunities for new jobs. If you wait for a layoff and hope for a severance package, you may not find a new job for a long time. Your "maybe" severance could run out before you find a new position. You may also find yourself taking a position you don't want just for a paycheck. Everyone needs to weigh the pros and cons for their individual situation.

Sounds like you are from optum Hr hoping we will quit. We are not going to quit. We will force them to lay us off and force to pay severance. The payroll will not change. We will not give up. We will fight back. The labor abuse stories in 1930 is true for 2020. No optum Hr you will have to do more paperwork.
