I thought it was just a phase, but no, I definitely lost all motivation to stay here. Do you hear or experience things that further demoralize you every day?
It's become very difficult to continue working here. If I were in the leadership of a company, I would be very worried if I found out that people who work in my company are here mainly because they have not yet received any other offer.

Wow. HR is even working weekends now. Good job! Uncle Ryan thanks you.
Hurry and leave already! You are as inept at leaving as you have been with your job!
I’m extremely motivated…to find another job and get out of this clown car of a company.
Look around at management. They’re the same exact individuals who blew through tens and hundreds of millions chasing bad exploration targets around the globe for a decade. None was held accountable for all the failures and waste of time and money, but the employees under them were given the boot. How can you stay motivated at a place like this?!
Your CEO is the highest payed in the Industry, that comes at your expense you fools, he keeps pressure on his VP and makes sure a hunger game is playing underneath. Sorry for you guys, you company is managed by as-----s that only care for themselves and the golden parachute..... wake up!
Yes it is difficult to remain motivated when you know your commitment to the company is a 1 way street. How do you justify keeping
your pace when you know your reward might be getting layed off in the next biannual layoff? I am planning my exit and will not be missing this toxic game.
So much more could be accomplished if only management was smart enough to promote those who actually perform the work. Too many “friends” are promoted whose only talent is making the round of their mentors and other worthless coworkers. Biggest problem is that in many cases they have forced out the only people who know how to perform the actual work. Supervisors only micro-manage the results to see that things get done; it matters not whether the results are correct. ConocoPhillips is on a death spiral but management is not smart enough to know they are doomed. Plan to sell my remaining stock ASAP and never look back. Best wishes to those trying to make a career at COP!
I see the HR drones are hard at work, giving down votes to the true comments below. Carry on, you magnificent specimens!
Earn that paycheck!
Let the love be your motivation.
Think of a-s kissing as true affection and you will find the focus you seek grasshopper.
You are definitely a ConocoPhillips type! Congrats!
Watching undeserving buttkissers get promotions while I and others who work hard stay in the same SGL gets me down. Really ki--s my SPIRIT.
I feel like I am wasting my life. Every day that goes by I wonder why I am spending it here surrounded by toxic people and incompetent managers instead of out enjoying the ever decreasing number of days and hours I have left in this world. It doesn’t help that some of my friends who are enjoying themselves and feeling fulfilled in a way they never did while working here at ConocoPhillips. So I keep looking for jobs at other companies and I’m even considering leaving the industry completely. Houston sucks and life at COP sucks.
My boss has no idea how long it takes me to get assignments done. I’m thinking because she never did real work herself. So I work maybe 10 hours per week but make it look like 60. I’m very motivated because I’m paid a lot of money for little work. And I get good annual performance reviews!
