Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Joining Honeyhell was a big mistake

This is by far the worst environment I had to work in. We are constantly overworked to the point of exhautions and Honeyhell is too cheap to provide additional headcount. It was shocking to learn that such a big and well-known company is too cheap to invest in both people and process that work.

I love how this place is being run. Why do I love this place? Where else can you go and work nonstop overtime. Which allows you to recover from past choices you have made in life.

The reason they have nonstop overtime. Because the management isn’t qualified to run an out house, and their solution to all their problems is to push parts. If we had quality, and actually follow the process and enforced rules. We wouldn’t have overtime.

Keep up the good work Honeywell. Push parts,create scrap, and let’s keep reworking the parts. Honeywell philosophy you a future shaper. So give us a contract so we can be future shapers and eventually create good parts.

Like total recall. A memory of a lifetime and I guarantee our customers will always have a memory of a lifetime. Recall! Recall! Recall!

Why are you here and leaving your bridge unattended? Or are you another of the paid a$$holes from Honeywell HR that likes to talk $h1t and shame the posters here for having an opinion? Either way, pound sand.

You got in. Learn all you can and get your experience. Then move on to a better company. If you’re in a management role, the good companies will hire you. Then you’ll be fired because of her what you learned a Honeywell.

I’m not making this up. This has happened. I guess the really good companies don’t like how we treat other people or should we see employees. Plus, all you know how to do is to push parts. You also don’t know how to following any processes. Don’t show up for overtime or even work.

Used to be a good company. WIth a constant reorgs, hiring/promotions of WRONG people (she called the CDO?) place has become a cesspool of incompetent toxicity.

@vdv

Let me guess... You are one of those people who find that speech is only acceptable when nothing is negatively said about a given employer? How very convenient...

Is that nugget coming straight out of the HR-Goon field manual or do you just enjoy to deep-throat the boot like a full time job?

@unm We had a cake for you until you played the fool.
Then we gave the cake to the police officers after you were gone.

oh @map seems you lack any understanding of free speech -

@unm - please, when are you going to give it up. How many times are you going to post the same thing?

I was there, you kinda earned the escort and you just don't see it.

I did not need a cake for retirement . HR in Glendale Space had two police officers escort me out all the way to my car and made sure I was safely off the property. That is what I got for 38 yrs with them, special treatment.

@bnb

If you are not a fan of what is being said then you are welcome to go somewhere else. Free speech does not require approval from people such as yourself.

Either the idea of free speech makes you feel uncomfortable or you're just another miserable HR person tasked to discourage people from speaking their mind over here... Which is it?

Hum....here's the playbook

  • Help is on the way
  • We have signed up for a stretch goal
  • There is an open headcount
  • Our metrics look awesome (disregard we lowered it)
  • Suppliers pass along a price increase because they know net 90 means net 180
  • Document your duties per HOS
  • Just 1 more quarter and it will get better
  • You realize your line of business is losing share
  • You can't sleep because you know, you're next on the RIF list
  • Help arrives, a clueless H1B visa holder

Honeywell's reputation precedes it. The upper management can't hire enough people because too many already know what lies in wait. Use your Honeywell experience as a spring board into another company with a better situation. Also, check glass door and pay no attention to the paid positive reviews.
