And, what can be done to stop that?
I am in management and this is a frank question.

We are constantly overworked and understaffed , not respected or cared for in a manner that retains employees. All reactive and proactive. Change things back and forth constantly and lastly favoritism of staff
I’m fortunate and have a hardworking store manager who treats the team with respect and appreciates all the hard work we do. The store management needs to feel appreciated for all they do, as well. When managers are happy and motivated, it filters down to the rest of the team. Eliminate unnecessary daily tasks, that take time we really don’t have. Most people are motivated by food. Why not buy the store team lunch or ice cream on a hot day?
Stop with the LP quizzes that tell our employees that corporate thinks they are theives and that 30% of shirk comes from internal theft. Nthing says "I don't value you" like telling them some one in their store is stealing every month. Especially when we don't have the staff to watch the crackheads that are stealing.
Company sucks. Better jobs elsewhere. People leave and realize that and tell other people.
Working here will take a big toll on your mental and physical health. Many people are realizing they are slaving away and get nothing in return except the paycheck. Which they can get elsewhere. Once you leave you also don't have to listen to a mo--n DM anymore.
LMAO, do we really work for the same company?
Dare I say the dreaded P word....Payroll...
We do not have the payroll to keep up with all the metrics we have to chase and tasks we have to do. Good managers can leave CVS and make more money doing less. I say "good manager" because a bad Manager will just run the store into the ground and doesn't do anything extra to keep up with the workload. The ones who try to be good managers end up working so many hours that they are the lowest paid person in the store if you average the salary by their hours worked.
Making low volume stores stay open on Christmas probably wasn't a great move for CVS either. I mean when walmart treats their employees better that really says something about a company. I hope your senior management if you really want to be able to fix anything.
Cut the over load of processes they look good on paper but we don’t have the hours to support them example CFR the company knows the items with a zero boh, but we need to scan them at store level really a waste of time. 1800 plus warehouse outs we continually must scan for no reason with no hope of those items being sent in do store scan 3000 outs because of theft, misplaced items etc. for this process to work you need hours uninterrupted hours 2 people in a 15000 square ft store it’s a joke.
Realistic goals, cut out all the metrics it’s retail not a Ford assembly plant, treat store associates and mgmt like assets not liabilities. Stop all the new programs that had tasks and labor to an already unmanageable workload at store level.
Much higher pay and less operating hours. Stores dont need to be open past 10pm. If you think thats not doable, well, that answers the question about who the problem is.
