So as an employee, I subscribed to DirecTV - couldn't resist the incredible discount. Overall, I found the service less than stellar...Watching DVR remotely kept "breaking". There were problems with mis-information on service questions and 4K. When I redid the roof on my house, the techs who re-installed my antenna told me what a c-appy job the previous techs did on my first roof....and well, at this point, with the huge price increase as a retiree vs current employee, I just rather have YoutubeTV (finding it works much better, especially for online viewing). I called the 800 number. Told them I wanted to disconnect...They asked why. I said "with the increase, the price is just too much". Boom - I'm gone as a customer / you'll get an email tomorrow with details. Zero attempt to retain me. No transfer to a closer who could make me an offer better than the retiree [lack of] discount. Really surprised...I've "quit" SiriusXM on a yearly basis for the past 50-10 years. Each year, they make me an offer to keep me....It's almost like AT&T is happy to lose a DirecTV customer...or maybe they are so used to not being able to convince people to stay that they don't even try?
Oh well - loving my YouTubeTV so far...
