Anyone in controllers receive a cost of living salary increase yet for 2020? Have received these in December during previous years.

Not unless you are taking it in your @ss from DW. Management cut people to raise money to pay for the dividend. Instead of paying for the dividend, management has decided to pay their bonuses for the year. DW is short changed this year for his brilliant vision of ruining this company.

Still waiting for the we’re all in this together line to be shown true. They have certainly teed it up for all of us in Midland to have an us vs them mentality since Houston didn’t get their pay cut 20% nor did Expats.

Really c-appy they took away the cost of living in Midland.

  • Houses are waaaay more expensive than Houston
  • No HMO medical plan so you are stuck with the more expensive Non-HMO option only. K–ler for families with children
  • Many with children moved after being told they would get cost of living adjustment and could apply it to private school since local schools are underperforming compared to Houston. Now have to change kids from private schools they can no longer afford to public schools causing their recently uprooted kids to have to make friends all over again
  • Originally told assignments would be two years now told be ready to stay for longer

Ha. Our cost of living adjustment in the Permian was revoked the minute oil prices went down. Next was the savings plan match. I am making almost a third less than I was a year ago. Obviously like everyone else I am looking for a new job. At least I am noticing in New Mexico where I would have to pay state income tax without any salary increase. What a joke. When others were paying huge bonuses during the boom they kept telling us to not jump ship because while we don’t pay as much during boom we hold steady during bust. What a big lie. I’ve definitely learned. Next boom or before me and everyone else are outta here.

CL28 and up we’re eligible for COL raises, doesn’t mean all of them got them but it at least was a theoretical option.

Many excellent and exceptional employees were let go as well. The ones thinking only poor performers were picked are the true NSI.

Next year when your ranking drops due to all the “low performers” being laid off and new people needing to fill those buckets guess what happens? You are now overpaid based on your ranking and the salary curve. It will be many many years before you see another raise.

OP if you are interested, there are a few bonuses in an escrow account in N—ria for laid off employees. No one is there to claim. Please contact me if you want to claim them for a small service fee :)

No but they did give me a can of anti-troll spray at the last safety meeting. It's coming in handy right now.

I received mine last Friday–it was generous. Now that all the fat and waste is gone there is plenty of money left for the over achievers that remain.

How about a Russian Boot in the hind end as your raise? They will kick your buns up the backside so high that you’ll think you were born a hunchback. Cost of living increase, I don’t think so. Merry Christmas.

Your salary increase from now on is keeping your job. Just hope you still have one after every performance review :)
So cute of you to ask for an increase

Negative on that one. Only cost of living adjustment I've heard of is -2% courtesy of Uncle Sam :)
