COO Groups got hit yesterday to the tune of roughly 10% via a combination of layoffs and cancelling backfill requests. It wasn't across the board and seemed to focus on "non-performing" teams. Guess they're not waiting for attrition or the Great Resignation isn't looking so Great.

The likely reason why they go terminated in employment at will us empire is bc they didn't take it to the next level, they didn't move the puck towards the goal, they weren't team players, nor enjoyed the snack trains and trust falls in the corporate state
Rumor has it that there's more COO layoffs happening or being announced next week, under the ECE umbrella.
OP here, in this context "non-performing" meant teams whose purview no longer aligned with their parent org so they were let go.
The great resignation already happened and doesn’t impact white collar as much as it does blue or difficult white collar jobs. It’s surprising it’s taken this long to have more layoffs.
What are teams that are “non performing”? Don’t they just have like security, resiliency, and administrative stuff like that?
I have no idea so I’m just curious. That’s a lot across the board though..
