Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Several have mentioned a voluntary following these last 2 involuntaries in April and August.

Any truth to this rumor? If yes, when is the timing?

An LL4 that is NDA'd let it out of the bag that voluntary is coming. It was obvious that he had no idea about details though.

They will offer a voluntary with last day Dec 31 just to see if anyone doesn't run the retirement calculator in a few weeks.

Not true. No voluntary coming.

Involuntaries were in 2019, then voluntaries in 2020 and voluntaries in 2021. Now in 2022, Involuntaries in April, Involuntaries in August. Time for a voluntary to end 2022.

Farley addressed this last Monday. His comments were completely tone deaf and borderline offensive but they were clear that voluntary packages are not a path they are interested in.

No. Voluntaries we’re in 2021. Nothing but involuntaries for this wave.

That would be really great. Who are the several that mentioned this?

Freezing the pensions ... would that make Ford's existing pension obligation more secure if they go bankrupt?

Next round is first week of December. Also pensions will be frozen starting Jan 1st, 2023.
