these posts are really funny.... what do you expect when the CFO is the acting CEO...? The company is in disarray and the CFO knows it is not wise to waste company funds on such nonsense.
Confused by the lines?
What has it all come to eh?
Does anybody know how much Intel spent on the celebration? I heard $50 million.
S---ed. Fake entertainment. Absolutely fake speeches by execs. Ridiculous. Then you also had some phony employees acting like they enjoyed it.
"Send you admin with you badge if it's that important to you"
You obviously have never worked at Intel. There isn't a single admin at Intel who would get a T-shirt for you.
Ask Murthy to give his $25 million back.
50th eh? I forgot to celebrate. Time to burn my Intel Volunteer Shirt, I found in a bottom drawer.
One interesting information I'm getting from this thread:
There's nobody from Santa Clara visiting this board.
I was there at the 20th and 25th celebration. Wow those were the days
I wasn't there (on vacation) but Santa Clara was similar according to people who were there...mass confusion, poor execution, waiting in line for the opportunity to wait in another line...sooo ecstatic I managed to avoid it...
My first birthday party was better. Better gifts, food, and fun.

bk made the place so toxic, i could give a crap about the 50th party budget of $10 a person while he, BS Murthy rake in $25M and more per year to f*8k the company.
Sounds about right.
Intel would f-up a one car parade these days. So sad.
Just think, all the money for the celebration went to BK with his $14M market adjustment bonus and hefty annual raises. There is $25+ million right there. Be sure to thank Andy Bryant and the Board for such wise decisions.

I wish I could post a picture of the mug they got. It is Nvidia green. I. AM. NOT. KIDDING. LMAO
@xla - lol, spot on! Why anyone would complain if you see a long line and go join!
What was there to Celebrate ? Intel has achieved nothing it needs to celebrate.
Many intel business units are chronically underfunded and poorly staffed. Our inability to attract and hire people with the right skills sets will ultimately be our undoing. This foolish party nonesense Highlights our lack of priority in terms of what’s important to our customers and the company. Most people I know did not attend as they understand we dont have hours to waste on tasks which don’t help deliver products.
I was at the 25 party, we were far poorer and less established in the competitive world, at NM then a rather big site we had a great and well organized party. I have great memories of that, Andy made an great entrance.
I have mixed feelings reading this and seeing the pictures, glad I have no association with the company and the recent drama and future ones coming surely
Let me understand this ... you make $150-$200K a year and will stand in line for more than 10 minutes in the sun for a $5 t-shirt and some cut up cheese? Send you admin with you badge if it's that important to you, or get it later from HR. you deserve how Intel treats its employees. What did you win? A lunch with the new CEO? Unless it's a big bonus check you're a fool. When you saw the lines you should have gone back to your office, if you have one, and worked on your contacts and resume.
In Oregon, 1.5 hr lines to get your gift bag, another 1.5 hrs to swipe the card for a chance at a prize. Forget about a t-shirt or getting a drink....more lines. Food was straight up disgusting, and I am not a picky eater. But at least the band was good.
I don't get it, Intel's done better than this at other celebrations. This one seemed to be planned by folks who were horribly underfunded and understaffed and did not have experience putting on an event. The entire experience made me sad and disappointed.
Arizona celebration was a DougDavis Clownshow production..
Oregon was similar to AZ and FM reports. The planning team should be embarrassed. A small cash award to each employee would have been a better choice. A morale buster for sure.
Yep was a total waste of time. Intel's future is as clogged as today's celebration.
My experience was the same as the person mention in Arizona but in Folsom. It was 106 degrees outside. The line to get in was 20 minutes when film was over. The food was easy to get and nice you did not have to wait in line it was get it and go. The music was good. The shirt line was confusing as to how to get it and lines were confusing. The line to see if you win a prize was bad and long. I waited 2 hours and no one was there to offer us water but glad at least I was able to win something
Pretty terrible - Arizona started at 3 PM, lines at 3 PM were half a mile long (waiting in 100 degree weather). Then, once inside, more lines. Basically it was all lines. This didn't feel something like a 50th - poorly planned, poorly capitalized, poorly executed. the 1272 cert party several years back was magnitudes better. This whole 50th thing s---ing is a microcosm of Intel's incapability to execute.
