Exxon is doing more for us than other O&G companies combined for their employees. I'm going to enjoy my raise, I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth like so many of you. Plus, share buyback will bump the stock further up which will be good for us as well in the long run. This is a good time to be employed at Exxon.

I'm curious if people know the real reason why ExxonMobil gave such "high" raises this year. The truth would be shocking, ask Chevron!
Back when Durwood got fired from the Fort Worth Opera, many said his career was over. But take a look at him now.
10 percent raise from the new Board, ladies and germs.
10 percent of what? 40 million?
Nothing to sneeze at.
As long as he can continue to read what the external consultants send him, Durwood will succeed and of course the company behind him.
Well done, DW. That'll do, aggie.
That’s great for you. Enjoy all that ExxonMobil is doing for you. Many of these perks came from those who dared to look a gift horse in the mouth and ask for reasonable changes from one of the most stubborn conservative commentators companies. Even though some people like yourself fail to see the irony of your post, I hope these people keep at it so we all benefit.
Meanwhile, it’s good to see we have some staunch defenders for EM. I was worried we wouldn’t have anyone left to hot desk around and proudly help the company transition and move all their jobs to other countries.
Agree, it’s a GREAT time to be employed at EM. Just stay positive and do as they say. And sock away as much as you can. Save - save - save. When the tide turns again, and it WILL turn again, it’ll help to have people in high places that like you, and a lotttt of cash in the bank. 💰 💰 💰
Now get off this forum and go earn all us shareholders mo’ money!!!! #Giddiup!
It’s an OK time to be employed at EM if you’re not in one of the service functions, especially IT
The buyback is tax free distribution to Shareholders and its cash beyond all other obligations. A dividend taxes the shareholder while buyback increases the shareholders stake in the company without the tax.
I agree with OP. I didn't think I'd feel this way after the last 3 miserable years, but, I'm optimistic going forward. The real proof for me will be if we get busy on projects again.
Buy-back is the least strategic way to invest excess $$. This is also not the stock price at which to buy-back. But ok, whatever.
OP - Do you prefer the grape or tropical punch Kool-Aid ?
If you want to transfer to India 🙄
