They added an extra layer of offer titles between avp and vp called sr assoc or sr asst. vp…so that means all the leads will drop down from vp to a sr. Avp …f*ckers

Wrong. Bei fought for 5% raises on avg last year, and won. Rumor has it she’s trying for that again this year.

It’s a game management like to play. It’s named after a name settlers gave indigenous people.

It’s going to mean less pay and more work when the smoke clears.

Basically those that have titles lose them because they are going to further segregate job titles therefore further demoralizing us into quitting. FWF

Can someone summarize what is changing with the officer titles?

You do realize separate departments have separate functions and run simultaneously? HR has nothing to do with RCSA.

I'd say this helps a bit to help clarify and provides consistency. However, I do agree that it's nothing more than a name and to compare yourself to others. It'll mean more to some than others.

Unless there is money attached to the title it's meaningless to us IMHO.

Of course, the title "officer" is not a managerial title, they have no authority whatsoever, they are still have-nots, this title means absolutely nothing.

It’s negative because WF hasn’t done a single thing for the benefit of employees in years.

It’s negative because some have worked (either at WF or with another company prior to WF) for years to EARN that title, regardless of their job role.

It’s negative because THIS is what WF is spending time and resources on? We have multiple regulatory issues. People are being forced into an RCSA sh&tshow while directors and execs sit back and produce NOTHING on their own - and they will likely be the ones who don’t get a title removed. WF should be all hands on deck either producing money for the bank or cleaning up regulatory issues - period.

I could go on and on but if you think there is any employee benefit in this ((except maybe for those from outside WF who didn’t have the foresight to negotiate for a title) — you have your head in the sand.

How do some of you see this as a negative? Man, down the rabbit hole. Officer titles equals death, wtf?

Might not mean anything, but it isn't negative.

Just go search OFFICER TITLES on team works and you’ll see the articles posted in the last two days.

For the last several years the execs have frowned upon corp titles for anyone that wasn't a high level executive (go figure). These titles cost the company nothing but do motivate some employees. We'll see how it all pans out but it looks like this will actually be a positive change, or more accurately, a return to something good that was summarily taken away.

More levers pulled by Shart and OC to turn the screws on us, driving up attrition, less severance payout and more stonk options for them

I bet these are the same titles as JPM.

More meaningless corporate BS and shitshow. How did Wells Fargo manage to live for the 100 + years before Charlie and his clown show hit the stage? This change like the other changes are designed to sc--w us employees. Unionizing is looking better everyday where we will have a say in things. Fuuuck Charlie.

It's all part of Schart and his OC design to get employees to quit so they don't have to pay severance. They will further curtail the pay ranges and make them less transparent, reduce merit increases, and definitely reduce bonuses as a result of this.

It means you are going to get paid less for more.

Probably means, if you had a title, you don't anymore. If you're off shore or came from JP Morgan, you automatically get a title.
