Kelly Munson, Senior VP Aetna Medicaid is leaving. Her last day is Friday.
We were advised by our director that managers were sent a training and information on how to go about delivering layoff news to their teams. No managers from our department received this training so he thinks this is a good sign but he doesn’t know much else. I’ll take it with a grain of salt. I’m in WFM
Was told a Store in Albany NY was being closed in Late September. Was announced last night. Reason given was the layoffs. They lied about it being non customer facing jobs.
In the news article posted about the layoffs, it specifically stated that stores, pharmacies, clinics, and ~customer services centers~ will not be impacted. Not sure if you're management team that talked about this is truly in the know, but you may not be getting good information.
In our meeting this morning we were told that CVS is going to be transitioning to outsourcing most of their customer service (for the Medicare side) to India, and that's probably where a lot of the 5000 is coming from.

Caremark president sent an email to PBM colleagues yesterday referencing Karen's email. Two senior VPs - one in network services and another in government services - will be retiring. There will be organizational changes to be announced in the coming weeks.
Has any news been about layoffs for work from home jobs? Just got hired in training right now just beats it all.

My Lead at Aetna is clueless and has asked the director who is still looking for answers . Bottom line no one really knows !

Hey @qon - no cuts in Specialty Pharmacy
300 people, the entire group employed by simpledose... this includes two call centers (RI and FL), and the three physical dispensing sites (CA, IN, VA)
I spoke with an exec director and she had no clue too - she have not been informed of the layoffs yet, but they are concerned that our entire team may be laid off and our responsibilities transferred to another team. She also believes that even if we survive the layoffs, there will be an avalanche of burnout as a result of such a massive layoffs. Now, some groups will be affected more than others, so some groups will not feel an impact.
Overall, it'll be bad as this will be a deep cut.

Not sure what you mean by SimpleDose being a “digital team.” My source of this information is my friend working on that department. They found out today right before lunch.
What’s 125 clinical? Do we know departments? Are these mostly Aetna folks?
