I'm not saying that I was the best employee, but I always tried to do my job as well as possible. Now I have almost no motivation. How do you stay motivated when there is no logic in RIFs, when they cut the role model employees who in most cases subordinated their private lives to this company? It is unlikely that the motivation of the remaining employees will be easily restored after these RIFs.

…and, a few days after, we also bravely terminated our electric service as well…” 🤪
“After being a loyal customer for 24 years the day I was laid off my wife and I switched promptly to TMobile.”
WOOF! Big Guy. That’ll cripple ‘em.
Few men as brave as yourself have previously traipsed this realm. 🙄
snorting and chuckling at your sillyness.🤣
I was part of the Creative Marketing Group and we suffered some tremendous layoffs. Layoffs also in Marketing Activation and VBG.
Crushing.
After being a loyal VZ customer for 24 years the day I was laid off my wife and I switched promptly to TMobile. Verizon can go to he-l.
what were the cuts too the wireline ,we didnt hear of any rifs.
Solid strategies are built and then discarded by leaders feelings, hunches, connections to consulting firms, and other fever dreams. Leaders don’t understand the business or the challenges and refuse to believe anyone else knows better.
Once I got the call i decided I will do the bare minimum or less. No way I’m going out of my way to make vZN look good because let’s face it, we can’t.
Awhile ago I definitely stopped doing free work for Big Red ie. anything beyond 40 hrs.
Let's face it. VZ has lost its way by not focusing on the business and understanding RF propagation to compete effectively with 5G. While we have staffed strategy teams, they obviously have an ineffective strategy. It's time for the Board to clean house at the C-level down to the SVP level and infuse new culture and new thinking. Odds are it will not happen, so don't hold your breath and expect continued mediocre performance until Hans retires.
When is pay day? That’s my motivation.
Use the time to upgrade your skills. You never know when they might come in handy given how things are going. I just wonder what would it take to oust the lousy C-suite?
Doubt the wireline employees are motivated after all the deep cuts last week and reduction in product portfolio in 2023.
I lost so much motivation this year alone. Literally just do the bare minimum I can get away with. Realized going above and beyond is rewarded with more work. Not worth it. My only regret is it took me this long to realize it, so much free labor given away.
