Yes, folks; you thought buying the Gulfstream for over $65 million after announcing the last layoff was bad timing, the Board is expected to sign off on the deal soon. New stadium will be built on the Mesa, where the vacated buildings are located. Some shmmuck from PR thinks it's a great idea because it will keep up Qualcomm's public image by bringing new jobs to the area. (Yeah, like engineers really know how to pour concrete; and selling peanuts will pay the mortgage on a house in 4S!) But I suppose $2.3 billion for a football team is better than a stock buyback in this market....
