In response to “ IF these numbers are true which I doubt, not very smart to post something so easily traced back to an individual”
Compensation is not confidential, employees can share if they want to
NYC I grade, 15% raise and $25K bonus
Pittsburgh Grade FF 2 1/2 years at the bank and a big 0.0% raise and no bonus. Like to see it ……
$150k + $50k bonus isn’t unreasonable at all if the person is in a revenue generating role (sales, RM, GCM, a capital markets role) or an investment role (wealth or investment management investing roles). In some cases listed above I’d feel that number is low. Remember that comp is all about what your role is here. BNY has a higher than typical clerical to front office staff ratio given that so many of our businesses center around operations outsourcing for our clients, so those types of pay packages are seen less than at other banks who have a wider business focus. Ops and other support staff roles will be paid less than those who generate revenue or investment return.
If you truly got 50k bonus you wouldn’t be wasting your time on this layoff website. You would be running to kuko land with joy

Assuming your technical? Around 120k J at NYC. Close to 10% bonus. Non tech role in a tech org
Not sure how you would have known your numbers so early if comp discussions begin today…a lot of people would question if true or just throwing a curveball on the topic.
J is lowest VP grade. Unless you are in a commission based sales or trading group, I find your numbers hard to believe.
When is the bonus paid? In US?
That’s some bonus!
you must be very proud of yourself!
$150k plus 50k at J is very good…what group?
