Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

We've already DONE lower prices

It's such an obvious gimmick. Because nothing has been repaired regarding cost structure, logistics, supply chain, technology, cross-regional compatibility or any other operational feature of a SANE business, the lowering of prices on certain items or even lots of items is nothing but PUBLIC RELATIONS BULLSHOT. It's unsustainable unless Amazon intends to lose $billions as far as the eye can see. Other retailers have absolutely no reason for concern. Meanwhile, if I want a 12-pack of Miller High Life (It was my Dad's favorite beer and I still like it), a delicious large sub under $7, Chobani yogurt (which we don't sell because we're idiots), espresso coffee for under $6.50 a pound, and organic apples that don't cost a Whole Paycheck, I'll shop at my local grocery chain just a mile down the road and I won't have to drive to some high dollar suburb or hip urban district to do it. I'm just sayin'....not a thing has changed except the big boss in the corner office and now the new company has a $13.7 billion dollar hole in its wallet.

Wow, looks like that post got some attention from the propaganda squad. You are NOT comping big time, the competition is getting better and faster and this hot mess is ready for the garbage disposal. Buyer's remorse will result in a massive write-off and Amazon will simply use this brand name to pump up their offerings. I predict that by the time this is over, 365/WFM will be just another food manufacturer and the stores will be limited to a few flagships. Repeat after me: It's just a grocery store. The "lower prices" inevitably don't last, you are NOT killing the competition and you are still #36 in customer service. Jeff was just a customer who got a little over-excited. He'll figure it out real soon.

OTS was implemented because allot of stores didn't hold there Buyers accountable. Now we just waste time on pointless auditing by people who have no idea about the department\store needs. When in reality if the TL or store leadership had done there job in the first place OTS wouldn't even have been even attempted.

Thanks to OTS our shelves are bare by truck days and the trucks keep arriving between 10 and 11am when they're supposed to arrive by 7am at the latest. Comping double digits in all depts.

We lowered prices briefly before but they went back up, I'm assuming Amazon will force WF to do a better job. I have yet to hear of any negative feedback since the deal went through. I'm curious if OTS will stick around that entire process was a joke.

Amazon said it best, "whole foods is a failed retailer." At least there was no deception before purchase!

Absolutely! Tried, tested and failed. Lower prices were promised as recent as the September 2015 layoffs. This company has since then not comped in over 8 quarters. Not even the lower prices this past Monday 28 August '17 'broke any doors' Who in the world is excited about this love at first sight marriage? Who cares about organic bananas on sale @69c p/lb, when we are facing the largest historical catastrophe in SouthTX. With so much devastation. this is a TX based company and all Amazon donated thus far is $1m. Just look at HEB what they have done, absolutely commendable and priceless. Walmart donated $25m. Goes to say this company has fallen way behind. I would give this marriage with AMZN around 5 years until they part ways!
