Thread regarding Edward Jones layoffs

You matter-Really?

It is so frustrating to hear all about summer regionals, the importance of them bringing families together and continuing the culture blah blah blah. Meanwhile back in headquarters the minions are hard at work and all the fun and culture building things that used to exist are gone under PP reign. Too expensive, leave out the remote workers who chose to be remote, who get to work from home and see their kids during the summer, who get to wear sweats all day, no commute but the in office people can’t have any of the family connection, culture building activities they used to have. No bring your kid to work day, no real founder’s day-zip, zero, nothing. Oops, you still get the tricycle races which is more about the GPs participating and showing off than anything else. But make sure you know YOU MATTER.

@qv There is no accountability for these ghouls running this place into the ground. No other industry or firm in the real world would tolerate such a large and complete failure. PP should be removed asap and ELT completely removed. Half the GPs here are nothing more than lazy parasites who play pretend all day while bleeding the place dry.

I no longer attend any events, division meetings, or “volunteer” events which are really marketing not about doing good for the community.

It drains my mental health to hear the BS coming from the GP’s these days.

They need to terminate all of human resource leadership. They are creating problems that don’t exist. Every decision is making our associates despise working here. Isn’t Human Resources supposed to protect our most valuable resource, our people? More days in the office, longer days in the office, badge monitoring, no longer able to hire top talent from other cities. We are going to end up back 5 days a week in suits and ties.

Agreed, everything that used to make Edward Jones special is gone. There’s no sense of culture or community anymore, nothing to look forward to, no life. PP has su-ked all of that out of this company.
Not is a rotting shell of what it used to be while she sits up in her tower looking over the wasteland she's created.
I really hope ELT can look at themselves in the mirror and be proud of what they’ve done. I’m positive Ted Jones would be ashamed of you.

@OP

"all the fun and culture building things that used to exist"

This never existed, unless of course, you are a bootlicker. You aren't a bootlicker now, are you?

I know the fighting between in-office vs remote employees is exactly what the ELT wants to happen. The more distracted we are pointing fingers at each other, the less fingers we have to point at our supreme leaders.

Remember, you can’t spell “elite” without ELT.

Sorry but I cant really empathize with what youre saying. All home office employees are being squeezed. Remote workers are not staying home with their kids and eating Popsicles. Theyre putting in long hours just like local people--and are worried about when, not if the other shoe drops and elt fires them.

Any culture is driven by the field. Not anyone in hq leadership.

All roles, field and ho, are being squeezed by elt for automation and offshoring.

The common enemy isnt someone working 1000 miles away. Its leadership.

@OP , I stopped my donations to A&E, United Way and outings with GP a few years back. I also opted to not show up to these events.
