There will be a career planning discussion followed by an attrition discussion. As a supervisor myself, I recommend you do not believe a word that is communicated. It is scripted.

Can confirm- I’m a supervisor too, got the same thing from HR. There’s been “higher than expected attrition” (higher than who expected? We all expected this...) so we need to act. We were given a script to ask how employees are feeling, tell them we value them and have a career discussion so they feel like they have a future with the company. They called it a “stay interview”.
