As of right now there are zero down votes on this post or it’s comments.
Let’s see how long the Ford shills start downvoting them

I had a 1990 Ford Escort Pony that was rock-solid reliable. It had the 1.9L CFI with 4 speed manual. Sure, it didn't have much get up and go but it got 38 mpg regularly.

It is truly heart breaking to see the Ford leadership destroy the company. Listening to JF talk to investors it was clear he is NOT the right guy for the job, and neither are any of the Silicon Valley JF hires, including DF who continually tries to paint himself as the next CEO.

The guy is still talking like AV for the general public as a paid subscription is just around the corner, when that myth has been debunked and disproved by true experts.

He is also still talking like there are not already proven business software running on tablets/phones by multiple companies that businesses currently use for tracking their fleets. Why in the world would customers want to tie their business to their vehicles?, and one brand of vehicle at that? Makes zero fiscal sense. $250-$1000 for a portal device that can be used anywhere (including inside customers homes) vs $60k - $150k vehicle.

And what’s up with the BOD? How can seasoned business-people fall for and approve all these hare brained schemes?

Too big to fail....

Ford has not been able to evolve into a complex organization with the constant churn of leadership. Bill Ford has been one constant that is leading this company to bankruptcy. He lucked out with Alan Mullaly for a few years but the tide of bad decisions continues . I used to say we lost a customer to every Tempo/Topaz we sold....since then we have lost former Focus Powershift and 1.5/1.6 I4 EcoBoost customers. Just plain junk engineering.

@f-c I sure wish someone, anyone, would do an expose of FordNext and FLV’s failure to generate revenue while spending $5 Billion during his time at Ford.

Peter? Phoebe? Geraldo?

" A giant blue oval of not good! " Thats Ford under Farley's so-called leadership. Mr Delorenzo did not highlight the terminations of workers his age ( laidoff because of the little dollars Ford saved from screwing everyone's pensions ).
As a follow up, I beg Mr Delorenzo to highlight the fiefdoms in all their nepotism and incompetence. Start with Ford Next, 2 billion were easily lost in that group from F Louis-Victor's inability to establish any profitable business. Canopy and the SD Mach E ridehail leases being 2 huge fails. Compare Ford Pro to Brightdrop, guess which ne makes money while the other has nothing but ' how might we ' decks. Cannis looks like he aged 50 years and poor Baumbick is goin to take the fall for the mess of recalls. And the real big question, Doug, what have you done for EV lately? Oh and lets not forget Truby and team, really great miscommunication - all hype, zero integrity. Let's highlight with all the layoffs how that group managed to ' rehire ' one of their friends and family from the mess of Argo, do we give Alan a Hall pass for that one? Id--ts.

He hit the nail on the head with the comments about Ford having a great product lineup and failing to execute on the fundamentals. Only thing that I think he missed is the correlation between layoffs and the problems that Wall Street is starting to see.
