Large numbers of people in sales and other departments have been laid off in just the past week or so. I worked at the corporate headquarters in St. Louis until I was told I was no longer needed this week.
Coal plants are closing and miners are being laid off
I’m a miner who has just been let go after 6 years with Peabody Energy. Hundreds of other miners have been let go as well and in my honest opinion I do not think the industry will ever bounce back.
Struggling and will not survive!
There has been so many people in my department who have lost jobs that the office is almost empty now! I have started looking for other jobs because unfortunately this company will not survive for long.

More layoffs at bear run. Funny how great stock does for its investors but wrecks families at holidays not to mention these are the people who produced a product to sell.
